Amazing 10 day Safari tour

I'd firstly like to highly recommend our driver/safari guide Ayub, who definitely went the extra mile (or several hundred of them at times!) to ensure we had a great experience. He worked tirelessly to make sure we got where we needed to be, and spent as much time as we needed on the safari circuit seeing some amazing wildlife... as a passionate photographer I was concerned to make sure we'd optimize our trip for getting some great shots of animals doing their thing in their natural habitat and Ayub really used his many years of experience to help us out. His sense of humor and good communications also kept us going over a few bumpy roads :)

However we also decided to go "all in" for our safari tour of a lifetime! The 10 day tour actually had a couple activity stops along the way which was a nice way to break up the different safaris. We visited the Hadzabe hunter-gatherer bushmen on for a hunt near lake Eyasi, which was a unique experience. We trekked through Masai villages and rolling hills in the beautiful NgoroNgoro highlands and camped out on a windy night; we also climbed 6000ft up an active volcano overnight, which turned out to be almost tougher than hiking Mount Kilimanjaro... but was also unforgettable at sunrise! These hiking breaks were great after spending several days in a row in the Land Cruiser.

On the safari front, we practically caught shots of all the big 5 toward the start of our trip. We were so focused on the density of zebra and giraffes upon arriving at Lake Tarangire we had to be reminded by Ayub that there was more to come :) Later on we were well covered with catching views of Lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as one of the few Rhinos in the Serengeti coming up really close. Plenty of elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, baboons, monkeys, hyenas, warthogs, vultures, flamingoes, hippos, crocs, gazelles, ostriches, and many other bird species I will have to look up!
NgoroNgoro crater and then Lake Manyara provided more great wildlife and rounded out the trip nicely. Overall we couldn't have been happier, even with our included "African Massages"!

Baltzell Tanzania Safari

Sanga is the most experienced guide I have ever encountered in three Serengeti safaris. He is the son of a game warden and as such has an amazing wealth of knowledge of the fauna and flora of Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and Ngornogoro crater. His command of the English language is excellent as is his perspective on the environment, the future of Africa etc. Sanga was the perfect assignment as a safari guide from Team Kilimanjaro.

Animals everywhere

Four days, three nights, three parks and a wonderful experience. Innocent our guide/friend couldn't have been better. Found the animals we wanted to see, answered all our questions, stopped for provisions and even sourced us some interesting shopping. Not even a vehicle break down near the end of day three thre him; it was dealt with calmly, professionally and with minimal inconvenience to us.
Highly recommended, and do see both Serengeti and Ngorogoro

Perfect View

Absolutely wonderful 1-day safari experience at Terangire park. We worked with Isdori Shauri and he could answer pretty much any question we had (and we are very curious people). We saw lionesses, caribou, zebra, monitor lizards, a kingfisher, monkeys, elephants, giraffes, tiny deer (name?), water bucks, baboons, mongoose, a host of beautiful bright birds, and large buck-like deer that I forget the name for. The pace was leisurely, we were picked up at our hotel at 7:15/30 and were back by 5:30/6. We visited a store on the way home to shop in, which had anything from sculptures and art to tanzanite and toys. The store didn't have haggling, so if you're like me and hate haggling, that may be nice. The prices are decent, but a pinch high (nothing compared to the roadside stands which can haggle you extremely high). We had a great time and got to see beautiful landscapes and animals with a great host. Overall it was a blast!

Jonas is the best safari guide!

Awesome semi-luxury 3-day safari through three different parks in Tanzania. Our guide, Jonas, knew exactly where to take us for different animal watchings, and knew how to spot animals far away. He knows so much about every animal and flower we saw, which made it a fun and informative safari. If you book a safari with TK, I highly recommend requesting Jonas as your guide. He won't let you down!
